NZOKDA personal sail number (PSN) policy
- A non-refundable payment of $250 to NZOKDA secures the use of a PSN
- To retain use of the PSN you must remain a paid-up member of NZOKDA (making payment of the annual subs by 1st October each year)
- If payment of annual subs is not made by this date, then the number becomes free to be re-allocated to a new holder
- If the holder of a current PSN wants to change their number, they are required to pay another fee of $250
- Life members will only have to pay the initial fee of $250 to secure the use of a PSN
- PSN’s shall only be between 4 and 100
- PSNs will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, although the NZOKDA Committee will have discretion to approve numbers based on preferential facts, such as if the sailor has a PSN in another class.
- A list of approved numbers will be available to view on the website.
- PSN will need to be displayed on the sail, the aft quarter of the hull (each side/size as per
rules) and on the beach trailer.
- The Secretary and the Treasurer will administer the issuance of PSNs and ensure the subs payment clause is met.
- Newly registered NZ OK dinghies will still be required to have a standard sequence NZL hull number as allocated by the Chief Measurer and will be liable for the standard registration charges related to this.
- PSN certificates will be issued based on OKDIA's current system
