The Rum Bucket was held at Waketere over the weekend and shortened to a one-day regatta due to the weather forecast on Sunday (and maybe the big Rugby match!)

The breeze was from the southeast, around 6-8 knots with the last race picking up to 15 knots, 4 races were held with different winners in every race it came down to consistency. Steve McDowell managed to take out the win, closely followed by Rod Davis and John Cutler.

The next event for 2023 is the National Champs due to be held in Napier 24 26 November.
